The current plan for training in our game is outlined below.
Each club will start with 5 coaches. Each coach will have a coaching skill from 1 to 5. Each coach can coach 5 players at one time. Players can be assigned to 1 coach. The coach will train 1 skill at a time. Effectively, a player will train 1 skill per week.
What are your thoughts?

Well i have something in mind... not sure if it logical or not and if its even possible for you to code. Well.. here it goes.
So, we gave 5 coaches. Great. One coach can train upto 5 players. And can have 1-5 coaching skills. Here, if a coach as 1 skill his effectiveness drops down to 20% and with increasing skill his effect increases. One player can be coached by one coach at any given time. He cant train in batting and bowling both. Ofc you were already thinking that. What i think is even a 5 skilled coach shouldn't train a player and result in a pop every single week. That'll mean we all will have fully skilled players in a few months. Here's what i suggest
1. 5 skilled coaches result in 1 pop per 1-2 week (only if the player is young like 16-18) 2. 5 skilled coaches result in 1 pop per 3-5 weeks for those who are not too young but not too old (22-25) 3. 5 skilled coach or not if a player is over 26 in age.. his skills should start plopping given that he doesn't get games. If he plays enough games he should be able to retain his skills for longer. (Until he's 29-30) 4. 4 skilled coach means it would take 20% longer for those skills and the same for lesser skilled coaches. 5. In game training : Well... in game training.

Just to clarify, each coach can train 1 skill at a time. His effectiveness as a coach has a level of 1 to 5 which determines the time that a player's skill will pop if training with the coach

How would training speeds be done? Would lvl 1 to lvl 2 be faster then lvl 5 to lvl 6 if coach and age are the same? Or are all skills the same and only age and coach effects training speed? I hope it's the first one. At least for the first few lvls and last few.
For example if you have 15-20 skill lvls. I say lvl 1 to lvl 2 should be quicker then lvl 2 to lvl 3. And so forth. Once a player hits lvl 5 the next 5-10 lvls hovers about the same speed. And then the later lvls slowly takes longer then normal.
So for example a 16yo with a lvl 5 coach can go from lvl 1 to lvl 2 in 1 week. Lvl 2 to lvl 3 in 2 weeks. Lvl 3 to lvl 4 in 3 weeks. Lvl 4 to lvl 5 in 4 weeks. And then lvl 6-7-8-9-10 to take say 6 weeks.
And then lvl 10 to lvl 11 take 8 weeks. Lvl 11 to 12 take 9 weeks. And so on.
I would like to think a great pull can reach top lvl of skills with out ruined another skill. Take Kallio for example in RL. IMO based on ftp skills. He was a legendary bat with world class Bowling and fielding. And had the power to dominate.
Ftp power is what ruined players plus the massive slow down going to elite and then legendary. IMO power or strength shouldnt be a factor in hitting boundaries. It should be a factor to hitting 6s and being a t20 type player.
Take the great batsmen for example they use the pace play timing and technique to hit 4s and make runs.
Players shouldnt be maxed out all the time. But some players should IMO. And AR training is going to be the toughest to train. And it shouldn't.
There should be an AR training program that trains like 30% of all 4 batting and bowling skills.
So if you train each batting and bowling skill individually you get 100% on each skill. But if you trained AR for 4 weeks you get 120% for all 4 skills. Numbers can change but you get the idea.
